3rd level

The graduates obtain knowledge and skills for independent scientific and creative activity in the field of fire safety and security. They master scientific methods of research and is able to formulate a scientific problem and present the outcomes of a research. A graduates have to master the methods of research and managment in the field fire safety and security

1 Fire Protection and Safety (in Slovak).

The aim of the study programme is to provide a complete tertiary education of the 3 rd level (PhD).

Knowledge and abilities:

• manage scientific methods of research,

• independent scientific research,

• master principles of scientific work, application and verification of research outcomes and scientific formulation of a problem, presentation of outcomes,

• develope study field and so contribute to the science and practice.

Competences:

• implement progressive management solutions at a higher and strategic level in the field of fire protection, occupational health and safety, crisis management and civil protection,

• manage fire and other emergency prevention processes and rescue operations,

• apply legislation in the activities and management of integrated Rescue systems responders (especially Fire and Rescue Service),

• evaluate technical equipment and assess safety of technological systems,

• formulate hypotheses and strategies for research, study field development and application of knowledge in practice,

• apply the principles of crisis management in the activities of the Integrated Rescue system responders,

• communicate in English using scientific and professional terminology.
